He is survived by his two children, Evan and Skylar, both of Kandiyohi; his mother, Karen Wiehr (and Jerry Koopmeiners) of Willmar; one sister, Missy Steffens of Kandiyohi; his ex-wife, Amanda Steffens (and Shane Schueler) of Kandiyohi; one uncle, Ronald (and Diane) Steffens of Renville and one aunt, Cora Steffens of Wadena, besides several nieces and nephews and many friends. He was a member of the Tarrant County Bass Fishing Club, where he fished in at least one tournament a month, on various lakes around the Dallas-Fort Worth Area.
